We transfer funds to over 200 countries. If your bank has SWIFT code that is one way to know we can transfer fund to your bank account. Your bank can tell you the SWIFT code You can also check the SWIFT code of your bank online.
You do not have site security lock sign! Why?
We use third party payment processors. Users do not provide credit card information in our website. Once customers review and submit order in our website they will be redirected to a page with a security lock managed and administered by the payment processors.
We also encrypt user password and save sender and receiver information in secure manner in our database.

I have a PayPal account do I have to log in to my account first to pay you?
The answer is no. Your starting point to place order is this website. To pay with paypal you need to log in to our website first, fill out sender and receiver information and choose paypal as your payment option. Then you will be redirected to paypal payment page. After redirection you will be be given the choice either to log in to your paypal account and make your payment or make payment without login.
PayPal will know you coming from our website, therefore, without you doing anything your payment will be directly transfered to our account. We also get auto notification from PayPal to take action on orders that we receive.
Do you give notification?
Our system sends an auto notification to sender when order is received. We also notify by phone to the recipient when payment is ready for pick up. Sender is also notified by email when a receiver collects money.

1: In the transfer fee and exchange rate calculator you enter the amount you would like to send and also select the currency you using to send the money. Then you click the calculate button. This step will display on the screen the amount that ePort Money Transfer will pay in Birr to the beneficiary, the exchange rate and the service fee.
2: click start to send money. If you are new in this process you will be asked to create an account. If you are a returning customer you will use your previous user name and password to login.
3: fill out sender and receiver information and click continue button.
4: select payment methods (Currently all major credit and debit cards, more than 15 domestic credit cards, bank checks and bank wire transfers are accepted).
5: review transaction and click submit button and you will be taken to the payment page.
6: fill out your payment information and approve payment then transaction complete.
How long does it take for the money to reach to the beneficiary?
Short answer from 10 minutes up to 3 days. Factors which determines the time to reach the beneficiary is location, time during the day the money transfer order is placed and payment method the sender is using.
To big cities in Ethiopia the money could be picked up in the shortest time possible. Money transfer order received on weekends may take time until the following Monday.
If you use bank wire transfer to make payments it may take in some cases 2-3 days more time than credit card payments.
What is PayPal's expanded use program?
This is a procedure followed by PayPal to verify credit card and bank information entered in their system by registered user.
One way of the verification process is charging a one time and a refundable micro payment of around $1.95 USD from a user account.
The fact this charge is successful signals to PayPal that the account has some degree of legitimacy; otherwise PayPal does not honor that account to proceed with order. In fact PayPal uses multiple other factors including account numbers, address verification, and credit card and bank account cod numbers.
The one time $1.95 USD payment is refunded immediately after the user pay the first time using PayPal. If you do not want the $1.95 stay longer in the hand of PayPal just enroll to the expanded use program only after you decide to pay.
Do I have to register with PayPal to pay for ePort Money Transfer?
No you are not required to register with PayPal to pay for ePort. You may choose to register with PayPal if
1) you would like to pay with bank check or PayPal issued credit card not with major credit cards such as VISA, MASTER CARD, AMEX, DISCOVER
2) you use any of the payment methods including all the major credit cards, but in the future when you pay online instead of entering again and again your account information you want just to login to PayPal and pay quickly.
Will PayPal charge me additional fee for registering with them?
No!PayPal does not charge consumers. Only charges merchants or businesses.
I could not login what is the problem?
